Our good friend and talented artist/photographer, Eriberto Oriol, has recently launched a new website to promote his photos of LA culture and namely graffiti over the years.
Check out the website where you can also purchase high quality giclees and prints of his work.
Sweet Things is coming to an end and we wanted to share some of our most memorable moments:
The giveaways from Kid Robot were a smashing hit!
We had posters to give to guests as well.
Even the notorious bike riders dropped by.
You should have seen this huge ass bike. It was crazy!
Curator "Queen Andrea" flew out for the opening. We missed you Indie. We love you Indie and thank you both for bringing together a great show. You ladies are on fire!
Featured artist Sherm came through and represented in front of her installation.
Happy Friandise shipped some of her furry little purses all the way from France just for the occasion and just for the girls!
The live painting was totally cool.
And even sometimes the smaller things just like this truck who stopped by is enough to remember. Artful moments are always sure to happen, they can be planned or unexpected. Whatever the moments be, we love each and every one.
Big thanks to curators Indie and Queen Andrea, Aiko, Martha Cooper, Gillian Goldstein, Motel7, Koralie, Mickey, Jules Muck, Klor, Sherm, Jarritos, Roaring Lion, Kid Robot, Estria, M.I.S.S and all those who came out to support.
Motelseven is a South African born, Norwegian Irish female graffiti artist. She has recently moved into the gallery world, after having her first solo show in Cape Town February 2009. She continues to paint in the streets, traveling as much as she can around the world. She has worked for brands such as Nike, puma, Reebok, HP and discovery channel.
We are very proud to announce Motel 7 as one of the exhibiting artists for the Sweet Things Exhibition on view from July 8th through August 1st, 2010 at Crewest. Be sure to come on by during that time to check out her work.
This show is truly amazing. The quality and detail of the work is superb. The realness and rawness is out of control, real rock from the rock! The show will be up until Feb.27th.
A group show exhibition curated by Gregg Stone and featuring a large collection of highly skilled drawings created by incarcerated artists living behind bars whose life could have been different if born under different circumstances. Living behind bars has allowed these artists to discover their true talent and blessed them with the gift to illustrate that which fills their mind.
Also on display will be hand written letters with compelling stories from the artists themselves.
